How quickly can you respond to a job?
For standard bookings we typically schedule within 2–5 business days depending on location and job type. For urgent electrical faults — no power, tripped circuit breakers, or safety concerns — call us directly on 0800 177 275 and we'll prioritise accordingly.
What areas of Auckland do you cover?
We cover the full Auckland region — residential work across all suburbs from the North Shore and West Auckland through to East Auckland, South Auckland, and the Papakura/Pukekohe fringe. Commercial work follows the same coverage. We're based in Onehunga, which puts us well-placed for the inner suburbs, east, and south.
Are your electricians registered and licensed?
Yes — all electrical work is carried out by registered electricians under the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010. John Graham holds a Master Electrician qualification and an Electrical Inspector licence, meaning we can self-certify completed work and issue Certificates of Compliance directly.
Do you provide quotes before starting work?
Yes. For most residential and commercial jobs we provide a written quote before any work begins. For smaller diagnostic or repair callouts, we'll confirm the scope and cost before proceeding. No surprises on the invoice.
Do you handle both residential and commercial work?
Yes — Northern Lights Lighting and Electrical works across both sectors. Residential work includes rewiring, switchboard upgrades, EV charger installation, LED lighting, heat pumps, and security alarms.
